Plan your visit to Egg Harbor
Where Egg Harbor sits, what it is best for, and how to use it as a mid-peninsula base.
The practical bits
- Position
- West shore, between Sturgeon Bay and Fish Creek on Highway 42
- Best for
- Dining, marina life, performances and a central base
- Beach
- Frank E. Murphy County Park, south of the village
- Season
- Active year-round; busiest in summer
Central and convenient
Egg Harbor's position makes it a good split-the-difference base: Sturgeon Bay and the southern parks are close, Fish Creek and Peninsula are a short drive north, and the northern villages are reachable for a day trip.
It is less quiet than Ephraim or Baileys Harbor. Choose it for convenience and evening life rather than solitude.
